Glad to be back at workkkkkk.....

I've been cleaning and tossing, so I can have space to quilt.....I finished my xmas houses and they turned out so great.,....can't wait to get all the others. I did two different ones....I didn't want to get too confused. I should have added rickrack or something.. But I like them.....

Went to my quilt group on Sat. What a great bunch of gals.....we are making a block a month and then talk about it and get ready for the next. Then I joined the quild here in town....all to keep me motivated.....

I signed up to call for McCain on next sunday....never did any thing like this before....but I guess if ya want something you get involved.....but am sure who ever wins will do his best.....but am praying it will be McCain....he has given so much for our country and loves this country and I truely believe that country will come first for him......they say never to dicuss sex or politics......so her is my say.....

I hope the rest of the week will be good for ya all.......

Boy your getting three in one day.......Am excited.....am going to the lake this week end to spend the week end with my brother in law and sister in law. I love it there, so peaceful and quiet....we go out on the lake and just coast the lake....watch the wild life. And we play Eucher all nite.....can't get enough of that.....and lots of talk......no one knows what it is like to live with two other people who don't talk or laugh....I sometimes what to climb the walls. That is why one of the reasons I went back to work.....to laugh and be among people.......

Right now am reading Suzanne Sommers new book and she is so smart. Am going to a Thyroid Doctor and see if I can't get straighted out. I feel like 80 years old and I hate feeling this way.

The knee is great. Still stiff but no pain.....if only the other joints and muscles would feel the same........

I'll try and take pics of lake and you'll see why I love it so much.........last blog for today....haha....

This is the other one I made. Instant bargello....I am making it for Tristiana, it has doggies and kitties in it....am going to add another border to make it a little bigger.... it was fun and fast to do....

I've joined a quilt club here in town that meets once a month and we new a new block each month so by 12 months we'll have enough to make a whole quilt.....I really enjoy it.....

This is the trellis quilt I made for brother in law and new wife....they love the horse races....I made one mistake can ya see it...????? O well that is the way life is.....but I like it....I should have gotten closer. I need a board to put the scence in different areas. I just hope they like it......

Ike wen through.....

Ike left us 7 inches of rain......and gone....we were very lucky we didn't receive any of the wind. I've been going to quilt classes and quilds.....I've learned so much over the last few days, my mind is buzzing. I am almost finished with my horse racing quilt. It is turning out great....am so surpized.....made a instant bergalo(sp) quilt....it turned out so great.

Big mix up at work and it is depressing.....why on earth do people who do nothing get all the applause and I work my ass off and they tell me to work harder........am too old for this shit.....but I like the extra money so I keep my mouth shut..........

You give some one an inch they take a mile.......

Gustav is gone...

We managed to get 7" of rain from him but no damage....Lots of cool weather that I love.
Working on a quilt of horses and doing nothing.....my fibro has been acting up and not much I can do when it hits.......

Lots to do this weekend craft fairs , reopening of a quilt shope.....too many to go to all at once.....

Really charged about the election now that McCain and Palin are running......It is time to do away with big government , they need to answer to the people.......We know what is right for us not the government.......

So vote Red..........ha ha......

Looks as if Fall is here in August.

Boy I love this weather.....I can't believe it......

We are in the middle of renewals right now at work and am going crazy.....I license educated people or I thought they were. And they can't follow simple instructions. I feel as if I am babysitting these people and leading them by the hand. I Guess I'll never get it.....what happen to common sense. Some times I am so glad I didn't go to college, cause I could be here to answer all these educated peoples questions....haha...sorry college grads, am sure not all people quailify in this....but this group of people really do....ahah....

I am so itchy to go some where and visit people that like to talk.....I live with a person that doesn't talk or say any thing. I swear I'll go crazy at times......I had to use all my leave time with the knee operation. So I have to wait till I build up more again.....then am off to the east coast to see my kiddies.....We talk every day on the phone, but it isn't the same....

I am working on this trellis quilt with horseracers in the squares.....kinda neat....I'll have to show ya when I get done......Brother in law loves horse racing and he is getting married and I thought this would be neat for some reason.....will see.

Have a save Labor Day....I'll be at home.......hahah

Cooler Days are here

Well here it is the cool days have arrived and I love them...I could stay outside all day......am sitting on my swing and enjoying the cool breeze and writing..]]

I wanted to sew today but spent it out side and loving it.

I was just lazy .........

Sauna in mid America

Well the last two days have been the worse so far this summer. When one opens the door it is like walking into a sauna and it takes your breath away. I start sweating like a pig and I look for the nearest mud puddle to dive into....it just drenches you.....

So I spent my time in the house.....I did finish two baby quilts for my neices twins that are on the way....boys at that. I had girls and they were so easy , but boys, I bet she doesn't have any more....haha....I just pray they are all fine and healthy....

Right now am reading a novel about old england and the things that went on in that day and age. Some times I think we are tamer than how and what they lived by. But such good reads. They are Wideacre, The favored Child and the final one Meridon by Philippa Gregory. She wrote the other Boylen Girl. She is a great writer and the book is so much better than the movie....I wish it had followed the book more. They left characters out of the movie..... If ya love long novels these are for you......

Am back to work full time now and loving it.....I know am sick.....

Back to the ole routine

Well, my daughter from out east and son are back home now. After three weeks of fun and shopping and a messy house. Every thing has gone back to normal.....no noise and quiet.....

The 3 year old is so full of life and bossy.....13 year old into music and computer. We had so much fun playing and laughing. I think the dog has gone into morning, now he has to settle for the old folks again.......

The knee is doing great and coming along. Just not fast enough for me at times.

Donya helped me clean out some of the junk from my basement and now may be I can get back to sewing and hooking.....I've got so many ideas coming to me and want to do them. Purses, quilts and rugs.

I hope I can learn how to put pics on the blog and such....It will take me forever......

Hot summer

Am doing much better but some swelling......
I just got back from my 43rd class reunion and what fun and to connect with old friends and made new. It felt so great to see faces one had grown up with....may be not the same but in the eyes you could still see the glow. But not enough time to talk to every one. So in 2 years we are going to do it again.....

I am going through my stashes and wool and what a major job. I really want to stick to hooking and quilting and sewing. I haven't time for any thing else.

I've been reading historical novels and what fun.....there was alot more going on in the old days then we ever thought. Things are some what tamer now adays.....At least we don't cut off their heads......Ha ha....

My Daughter Donya and the two girls are here for two weeks and what fun it is. I miss them so much being on the east coast and am stuck in the middle of America.......She is helping me the best she can...... Son was here for a week and I truly miss him alot....may be one of these days I'll get back on the east coast, by then I'll be too old and they'll put me in a home.....haha...

Lets hope fall comes soon. the heat is killing me........

Am back to normal but not dancing......

It has been 2 weeks and what a trip.....lots of hard work and lots ahead of me.....Operation was a breeze, but wish my stay at the hospital would have been about 2 days longer.....I know one thing if I ever have to have it done again....a hospital bed will be rented. Flat beds just don't make it.....

Get my staples out tomorrow and don't look forward to that.

Finally able to sit at the computer and look at the other gals logs. I enjoy that so much.....

My husband has surprised me with really helping out and all......He is a super guy.....

will write more later...sure you don't want to see pictures....hahah....

Watch out I'll be dancing soon......

Tomorrow I get a new knee. Excited and nervous at the same time.

Hubby isn't the greatest nurse....am one of these gals that don't want to leave the hospital, even the meals are better there.....haha...

Told the gals at work that I may call to bring food.

Got a list of things to do while down....reading, quilting, and trying to figure the ups and downs of blogging.

Alist a mile long and will be resting and working my arse off to get back on my foot.......hahah...

I am going to do it.....

The end of May am having my knee replaced. I am ready for it, but not the pain ahead. But am hoping this will let me do my walking again. I hate sitting.

Right now am working on curtains for my window....I am half way done. I use to whip these out in a day and now it has taken me 2 weeks.

I am getting so many ideas from the girls in Blog and want to do so much.....just never enough time.

I wish I new how to add pics....will learn slowly......haha....

So many talented people out there and willing to share.....It is great.....

Loving old friends.

Well, after 42 years, my highschool class is going to hold a reunion. WooHoo.........If only I was still the 115lbs and agile as I was then. I can't believe that much time has passed. I am looking forward to it. To see old friends and know we are all getting older. Love to hear all about their lives and all. I've heard from a few and what fun that is. We all grew up together and thought we'd never be with out each other. Then the world and life got in the way...... So I can't wait till July, and hope to hell it isn't blasting hot............Was hoping it would be in the fall so it is nice and cool for us menopausle people......So here is to the Class of 66. How we changed the world.

Yahoo, a senior Citizen!!!!

To day I hit the big 60. I never thought I'd hit it.....So I guess this means I have to do all the things I sit aside to do when I get old......Yikes I have many.....hahah./.... So now I have to learn to put on pictures of what I have been doing and what I want to do......

I get on the blog and read all the lovely things every one says and I can't believe how many talented women are out there. And have their say say all together.....a polite word. It makes me feel that there is hope for the next generations. But please relax on your kids and don't make them grow up too fast. Let them stay little ones to play in the sunshine.......

I will take time to learn how to really use this space. I so enjoy every one elses.......

I was making those lovely flowers pins and they look so neat.....but I really need a lesson in glueing......I was amess before it was over.......but with practice I think I got it.....but they do make you smile when ya look at them.....Artsy Babe is so talented and can't thank her enough for sharing with me.......

Trying to get healthy

I've decided at 59 I need to get in better shape. I have a bump knee, from a car accident that happen in my teens. Am over weight and hate it.....I've gone on Reliv and it has helped alot. I got me a jucier, after reading Montel Williams book. I am now reading A new Earth and joining Oparh's on line class in March.....am willing to try every thing. I got me a Tony Little exercisers and it has helped. But finding time to do all this and work is hard. How did we raise kids and do all the things that we did? I am working on a huge rug right now of a bunny in a vegetable garden. it is going slow for some reason. Also working on a baby quilt too. Then I get notes from other genealogists and am off on that lead......If I didn't love to work so much, I guess I'd have more time. But I like the interaction with people. I'll just do what I can, when I can. And work on the weight issue.....Any one else have these problems?
